Special work days scheduled

We're planning a special work weekend for November 2 and 3, 2013. Michael Guy and a friend are planning to make a trip down from the Great White North, and I'm taking time off to be on site and (finally) get back to some hands-on railroading. Now that the boiler has divulged most of its secrets, our tentative plan is to explore the last critical bit of unknown territory, the health and condition of the cylinder, valve and saddle castings.

All are welcome to come by and help turn wrenches, kick around ideas, and generally move the project planning forward.

Good news is our Halloween trains have oversold and extra runs have been added. Bad news is, our crews are exhausted from their success and need a break. The workdays have therefore been postponed until we can reschedule Michael's visit later on, when we are all rested and ready for heavy work on 110.

Which brings up another point......there's a lot of opportunity for operating / mechanical crew at NHVRR. Let us know if you are interested.
