June 6 update

Progress is slow but plugging along on preparing 110 for the removal of the boiler from the frame.

17 - the decision has been made to replace the tubes now and run until she dies on the calendar in 2015. We anticipate safe-ending the tubes and rolling them back in after the 2015 15 year mandated inspection. So, we are buying our next set of tubes prematurely while obtaining the benefit of maintaining steam operation.

Tubes should go in this week, and next weekend (June 14-15) is reassembly of the front end and whatever else was to9rn down to facilitate the tube replacement. All are welcome, of course......and we should see 17 in service again for the July operating schedule.

Tubes arrived today for 17, workdays planned every Saturday remaining in June to get 17 ready to run by July 11. Any interested person welcome to come by and lend a hand.

June 19.....tubes in, hydro test done and all well. Fire up on July 11 for operating on July 12. All welcome as always.
